Jake Saslow

 

Biography

 


Jake Saslow holds degrees in jazz studies from Manhattan School of Music (BM), The Thelonious Monk Institute (now the Herbie Hancock Institute) (Artist Diploma), and Loyola University New Orleans (MM), and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in classical saxophone performance at The University of Utah. Jake has played tenor saxophone in Michael Bublé’s touring band since 2010, completing 4 world tours and performing in over 100 cities in 40 countries throughout the world, and appearing on numerous television shows including The Tonight Show, The Today Show, and Good Morning America. Before moving to Salt Lake City in 2020 Jake spent over a decade living in New York City and collaborating with some of the most recognizable names in the New York jazz scene. The New York Times says, “The tenor-saxophonist Jake Saslow practices a harmonious strain of modernism, warm and well considered.” Jake is an adjunct professor at Westminster University and Utah Valley University and enjoys being active in the local music community as both a performer and educator.
